Hollywood in Zagori and more specifically in Tsepelovo village! The filming of the movie “Born to be murdered” took place in Tsepelovo, among other places. The film is a social thriller that tells the story of an American tourist, Beckett (John David Washington), who unwittingly finds himself in the crosshairs of a dangerous conspiracy in a remote mountainous region of Northwestern Greece. It is directed by Italian Ferdinando Cito Filomarino and produced by Marco Morabito and Luca Guadagnino, of the hits Call me by your name, Suspiria and I am love.
The lead actor, John David Washington, became widely known for Spike Lee’s Blackk Klansman, which competed for six Oscars this year, and eventually won a gold statuette for the African-American auteur’s screenplay. It co-stars Halle Berry & Alicia Vikander.
